HOW TO PREPARE:

-
Avoid any blood thinning medications for a minimum of 72 hours prior to your appointment. This includes: Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, Motrin, and Ibuprofen.
-
Do not drink any alcohol the night before and the day of procedure.
-
Limit caffeine consumption.
These substances thin out blood which can result in more bleeding and pain during the procedure.

You will need to avoid water for 7-10 days after the procedure. This includes excessive sweating, pools, salt water, and extreme sun exposure. So please plan your vacation accordingly!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You may feel itchy, swelling, tenderness, see redness but these are all normal yet temporary symptoms which should subside after the the first few hours.
Your treatment area will appear darker and bolder in the first few days but this is normal as pigment settles in.
Around day 4-7, scabbing and flaking may occur. It is important NOT to pick at the scabs to prevent scarring and scratching off the tattoo prematurely resulting in patchy results.
The healing process takes several weeks. The final result will be seen around the 4-6 week mark.
At the 6 week mark, if there are empty patches you want filled in, you can book a retouch session to do so.
*Not everyone will need a retouch session but if there are empty spaces, please book a retouch session for best results.
